Soliant Health is seeking a skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join a closed-door hospice/long-term care pharmacy in San Leandro, California. This is an exciting chance for retail pharmacy technicians looking to transition into a specialized environment with the potential for a permanent role.
Position Details:
- Duration: 13-week contract with potential for permanent hire
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Pull, fill, and dispense medications
- Stage medications for distribution
- Duties may include:
- Managing controlled substances in the narcotics room
- Operating automated pre-packing medication machines
- Overseeing inventory and identifying expired medications
- Data entry
- Mixing IVs/TPNs
Qualifications:
- Long-term care (LTC) experience is preferred but not required
- Proven experience in high-volume retail pharmacy
- Experience in at least one of the following areas is required:
- Controlled drugs management
- Pre-packing medication automation
- Inventory management
- Data entry
- IV/TPN mixing
- License: Current California Pharmacy Technician license required; PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory
