Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Eastern Goleta Valley, CA

Soliant has partnered with a school in the Eastern Goleta Valley area of California and is actively seeking qualified applicants for multiple contract positions for the uping school year!

Location: Eastern Goleta Valley, CA

Contract Dates: August 12, 2024 - June 6, 2025

Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)

Caseload/Details: Primarily Preschool - IEPs, Assessments, etc.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• California SLP license.
• Prior experience in school settings or working with pediatric populations.

Description of Duties:

1. Develop and implement speech services following frameworks of student IEPs (Individual Education Plans), state curriculum, or mon core standards.
2. Provide direct individual and/or group therapy.
3. Provide clinical supervision to 1-2 Speech and Language Assistants.
4. Administer speech and language evaluations.
5. Attend IEP meetings.
6. Conduct and chair annual review meetings for students who receive speech/language services.
7. Provide interdisciplinary programming by consulting with teachers and other therapeutic staff.
8. Consult with classroom staff in implementing goals of all students.
9. Collect, analyze, and maintain data on all students within the classroom.
10. Conduct thorough evaluations necessary for quarterly progress reports, annual assessment, and reevaluations.
11. Plan daily work schedule to meet the requirements for direct service minutes, and utilize indirect time in accordance with District guidelines.
12. Facilitate ongoing parent contact and encourage family involvement.
13. Depending on student disabilities, SLPs may need to propose interventions or supports that fall outside the realm of instruction, such as feeding or AAC use.

Applicants will be entered into an applicant pool and will be assigned caseloads/buildings based on District needs. Soliant will assist you in scheduling a direct interview with administrators to get updates on current needs.
