We are seeking a Switchboard Operator to join our team in GREENWICH, Connecticut. This role involves managing communications within the hospital by directing phone calls and announcing emergency codes. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the switchboard operations, ensuring smooth and efficient communication.
• Direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate departments or individuals within the office.
• Announce emergency codes as and when required, adhering to protocol.
• Ensure all communications are handled professionally and promptly.
• Handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively, especially during emergencies.
• Assist in other administrative tasks as needed to support hospital operations.
• Utilize strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with hospital staff and visitors.
• Use the skill of answering inbound calls to manage high call volumes efficiently.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Proven ability to handle a high volume of inbound calls.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
• Proficient in using computer systems and software relevant to the role.
• Must follow all confidentiality and data protection regulations.
• Ability to work in a team and independently when required.
• Willingness to work in different shifts, including nights and weekends.
