Partners Personnel is currently sourcing candidates that are experienced HR Generalists for our client in Shiremanstown, PA. This well- known organization is a leader in the post-acute healthcare industry providing a large array of services from patient care coordination to product distribution. This position would be onsite at their fulfillment warehouse, fulltime schedule of 8:00-5:00 Monday thru Friday and is being offered as a temp-to-hire role. The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for applying HR policies, procedures, and programs to the employees of VGM. In this role, the generalist will specifically support employees and managers of the Shiremanstown, PA warehouse by responding to HR inquiries and support the Human Resources team in implementing appropriate HR guidelines, policies, and programs. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is important to success as well.
Responsibilities of the HR Generalist:
- Advise employees and leaders on all employee relations matters, including but not limited to, performance management, coaching, conduct, grievances, complaints, investigations, absences and leaves, organizational change, and exit interviews
- Prepare and manage new employee onboarding in partnership with team members and leaders within the warehouse
- Responsible for people-related metrics and collaborating with corporate data analytics team
- Facilitates proper employee documentation and records in HR systems, compiling reports as needed to ensure employee databases remain accurate and up to date
- Audit HR policies, programs, and procedures against relevant legislation and best practices and recommends improvement
- Resolve HR inquiries or escalates to the appropriate individual depending on severity
- Assists in the preparation of HR training material and validates Managers and employees are aware of appropriate HR policies, programs, and procedures and their accountabilities
- Support the VP of HR in implementing efficiently and effectively talent management programs: performance management, succession planning, diversity and inclusion and special projects
- Provide support for onboarding and offboarding, including managing logistics with appropriate teams (e.g., IT, HR shared services) and assisting with exit interviews
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field
- Bilingual in Spanish and English in order to effectively support and communicate with VGM employee owners, ensuring everyone is heard
- 2-3 years of experience in a professional HR role, preferably in a distribution center, warehouse, or related industry
- HR certification or willingness to pursue basic certification (SHRM)
- Experience working with HR information systems
- Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
