Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing and recording of financial transactions in the general ledger
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management decisions
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Oversee the financial aspects of real estate transactions
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and systems
• Ensure adherence to accounting laws and regulations
• Provide financial advice to management to aid in business decision making
• Handle confidential information in a sensitive and discreet manner
• Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification is preferred
• Extensive experience within the Financial Services industry
• Proficiency in general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Demonstrated ability to record and analyze journal entries
• Knowledge and experience in real estate accounting
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Strong experience in using financial software and Microsoft Office
• High level of integrity and confidentiality to handle sensitive financial information
• Ability to effectively communicate and present financial information
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proven experience in managing a team would be advantageous.
