Are you a seasoned Senior Oracle Database Administrator that has also worked with SQL Server and looking for a full time, hybrid in-office position in Tampa, FL? We are offering an opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator (Oracle/SQL Server) in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of our Oracle databases, contributing to query optimization strategies, and managing database performance tuning. You will also be responsible for improving operational efficiencies, maintaining security standards, and supervising disaster recovery procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Lead in the provision of technical guidance on query optimization and best practices to engineering teams and other departments

• Develop strategies to improve operational efficiencies of database schema, settings, SQL queries, backup/recovery processes, change data capture, and disaster recovery procedures

• Oversee the management of storage and closely monitor and manage security-related aspects of the Oracle databases

• Monitor the core production system services for proper disk and CPU utilization, and maintain daily operations of internal applications

• Conduct research on new products and upgrades that maximize the efficiency and scalability of the database system

• Handle database monitoring/alerts and maintain development, test, and UAT database systems

• Provide data maintenance services and refresh as necessary while documenting database design, integration processes, and disaster recovery processes

• Perform performance tuning and optimization as required.
