We are seeking an accomplished, self-driven, highly motivated QA Manager with SaaS commercial experience. Prior experience in Aviation domain is a significant asset. As the QA Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of talented manual and automation QA engineers. Your primary goal will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products across a range of competing projects. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a drive to increase automation within the QA process.
This role is onsite 5 days a week in the South Metro Denver area. A full relocation package is available for strong candidates. This opportunity is unable to provide sponsorship at this time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of manual and automation QA engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support
- Handles Talent Management processes within their responsibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to define quality goals and deliverables
- Develop and implement QA strategies, standards, and processes to ensure consistent and efficient testing practices
- Conduct regular assessments of the QA team's performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate training programs
- Drive the adoption of automation testing techniques and tools, with the objective of increasing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process
- Prioritize and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects, balancing competing deadlines and demands
- Collaborate with product owners to define acceptance criteria and ensure proper test coverage
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in QA and software development, sharing knowledge and insights with the team
Required Experience and Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in leading and managing multinational team of QA engineers
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies
- Proficiency in Manual testing
- Strong Automation testing skills, with expertise in at least one popular automation framework
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical challenges
- Experience in developing and implementing automation testing strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality software products
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments and tools
- Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance
Comp/Benefits:-$135K-145K base - some flexibility for strong candidate.
