We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Administrator to join our client's IT team in a hybrid role, with travel required within Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing the Azure cloud infrastructure. You will also be a key part of the on-call rotation, providing support for mission-critical cloud services to ensure high availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Azure Cloud Management:
- Administer and maintain Azure cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, and other PaaS/IaaS services.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud performance, usage, and costs.
- Implement and manage cloud security measures, including identity and access management, network security groups, and data protection.
- Automate cloud infrastructure deployment and management using tools such as Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and PowerShell scripts.
Hybrid Environment Support:
- Manage and integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services.
- Support hybrid cloud strategies, including data replication, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability between cloud and on-premises environments.
Travel and On-Site Support:
- Travel within Texas to provide on-site cloud infrastructure support, including system assessments, troubleshooting, and implementation of new cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with local IT teams to ensure cloud resources are aligned with business requirements and best practices.
On-Call Rotation:
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical cloud infrastructure.
- Respond to and resolve cloud-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and service disruption.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence of issues.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including data privacy and security mandates.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of cloud governance policies and procedures.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Azure cloud administration, including the management of PaaS, IaaS, and hybrid environments.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, ARM templates, PowerShell, and other automation tools.
- Experience in a similar hybrid work environment with travel responsibilities.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent certification preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Azure cloud services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory.
- Strong understanding of cloud security practices and tools.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
- Familiarity with on-premises infrastructure technologies (e.g., Windows Server, VMware, networking).

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Willingness to travel within Texas and provide on-site support as needed.
