Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Kentucky (Remote)
Job Type: Fulltime, Virtual Contract
Pay: $45/Hour
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language services.
- Provide virtual therapy sessions to address speech and language goals outlined in students' IEPs, utilizing evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Monitor students' progress regularly and adjust therapy plans as needed to facilitate skill development and improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant data in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders to discuss students' progress, goals, and recommended interventions.
- Stay informed about best practices, trends, and developments in the field of speech-language pathology, and integrate new knowledge into practice to enhance student outcomes.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Kentucky state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Previous experience working as an SLP in a school setting, preferably in a virtual or telepractice environment.
- Proficiency in using telepractice technology and virtual therapy platforms.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized intervention plans, and track student progress.
- Commitment to providing high-quality services and advocating for the needs of students with communication disorders.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and navigate challenges inherent in virtual service delivery.
