• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as developed by the schools special education team.
• Utilize CPI techniques to de-escalate and manage student behaviors in a safe and respectful manner.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
• Collect and record data on student behavior and progress, providing regular reports to the special education team.
• Assist in developing and modifying individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs and progress.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and any concerns.
• Uphold all school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
• Current certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) is mandatory.
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral challenges.
• Strong understanding of behavioral intervention strategies and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
