Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Needed for Maternity Leave Coverage Near Oneida, NY

Soliant is currently seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district near Oneida, NY, for the 2024-2025 academic year. This position will cover a maternity leave from September to December. Both full-time and part-time candidates are encouraged to apply. The caseload primarily consists of 2nd and 3rd-grade students with articulation and language delays.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations for 2nd and 3rd-grade students
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Provide therapy sessions focusing on articulation and language delays
• Maintain accurate progress notes and billing records for Medicaid
• municate effectively with parents regarding student progress and strategies for support
• Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support student success

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York
• Certification of Clinical petence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
• Previous experience working with school-aged children, particularly in grades 2 and 3
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent munication and interpersonal skills
