We have a full-time special education teacherposition available in Toledo, OH, focusing on grades 6-12. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and make a significant impact on their academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades 6-12.
• Provide instruction and support to students with disabilities, with an emphasis on writing development.
• Conduct both one-on-one and small group sessions to address specific educational needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to ensure effective support for students.
• Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional materials to meet the needs of each student.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies and interventions as needed.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid state certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students in grades 6-12.
• Strong emphasis on writing development and ability to implement effective writing strategies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 14 students.
