Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Michigan (Remote)
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Contract
Pay: $43/Hour

Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students.
• Utilize standardized tests, observations, and clinical judgment to diagnose speech and language disorders.

Individualized Treatment Plans:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.
• Set measurable goals and objectives tailored to each students needs.

Therapy and Intervention:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students through virtual platforms.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and innovative virtual therapy techniques.

Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students communication needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

• Regularly monitor and document students progress towards IEP goals.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.

Training and Support:

• Provide training and support to teachers and parents on speech and language development and strategies to support students.
• Offer resources and guidance to support students communication skills in the virtual classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Michigan SLP license.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience working as an SLP, preferably in a school setting.
