Are you an experienced RN passionate about cardiac care? Kettering Health is seeking skilled and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Cardiac Step-Down Unit in Dayton, Ohio. If you’re ready to make a significant impact in a supportive and innovative environment, we want you on our team!
Shift: Days and Nights, full-time
Salary: $32-46/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide high-quality care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures and surgeries in the Step-Down Unit.
- Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms to detect and respond to changes in condition.
- Medication Management: Administer medications, manage intravenous therapies, and adjust treatments based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families about recovery processes, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications for optimal cardiac health.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes to ensure comprehensive care and compliance with standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and critical changes in patient status, utilizing advanced cardiac life support techniques as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active unencumbered RN license in Ohio or compact license.
- Previous experience in a cardiac or telemetry unit preferred.
- Strong assessment skills and ability to manage complex cardiac conditions.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
