We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team in BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting network issues, serving as an escalation point for support teams, and maintaining network hardware and documentation. This role will require you to stay current with industry advancements and be willing to provide after-hours support as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve Layer 2 and Layer 3 network performance issues
• Act as an escalation point for support desk and remote IT support teams
• Monitor the performance of key technology suppliers and vendors, taking corrective action when necessary
• Assist in maintaining and updating network hardware code, configurations, and models
• Maintain and update network documentation regularly
• Stay up-to-date with new technology advancements in the industry
• Travel as needed to provide support at remote locations
• Assist in the implementation of bulk changes via scripting and automation
• Resolve issues in a timely manner and escalate issues to management if unable to resolve
• Create clear and detailed technical documents and procedures.• Proficiency in working with Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, and Cisco Networking.
• Certification in Cisco Certified Network is preferred.
• Experience with Wireless Access Points and SD-WAN technology.
• Ability to work with Ansible for network configuration automation tasks.
• Experience with SolarWinds network management software.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
• Experience with ServiceNow Application for IT service management and incident resolution.
• Knowledge of Firewall configurations and Router Switches.
• Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
