Travel Nurse Practitioner CVOR First Assistant Yuma, AZ

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner with specialized experience in cardiothoracic surgery for a travel assignment in Yuma, AZ. This is a unique opportunity to work with a top surgical team and make a significant impact on patient outes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the First Assistant in cardiothoracic surgeries
• Oversee post-operative care for patients in the ICU and telemetry units
• Perform EVH (Endoscopic Vein Harvesting) and open radial artery harvesting
• Assist in CABG procedures and valve replacements
• Manage patient care in the stepdown unit and conduct office visits
• Perform database entry (STS) for patient records
• Willing to train in ICU procedures such as chest tube insertions and central lines

Qualifications:

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) with Acute Care Certification or RNFA certification
• Extensive CVOR experience is required
• Proficiency in radial artery and endoscopic vein harvesting
• Strong background in managing post-op cardiothoracic patients in ICU/Telemetry
• Experience with the Hemopro system for harvesting
• Must be willing to learn and perform advanced ICU procedures
• Recent experience in CABG with EVH and valve replacements is preferred
