Overview

This is a Float position, providing coverage in a variety of primary and specialty care department.

Please note: This is a pool, as needed position. No guarantee of hours.

Facilitates and assists the providers and health care team in providing excellent service and quality patient care. Performs and coordinates patient care activities in multiple settings utilizing a variety of nursing skills and functions.

Position Reports To: Practice Manager

Responsibilities

1. Provides leadership, daily direction and supervision to the healthcare team in the delivery of quality patient care. Communicates effectively with each team member.
2. Coordinates patient flow and assists healthcare team to provide patient care.
3. Coordinates patient follow-up and education.
4. Serves as a resource and decision maker for staff regarding patient care problems and participates in training of healthcare staff.
5. Serves as a liaison with other healthcare agencies or services to promote coordinated healthcare across the continuum.
6. Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• RN Current licensure in the state of Washington (RCW 18.88) or licensure through Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (SSB 5499).

Desired:

• Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting or specialized experience important to the function of the respective department.
