Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients with developmental disabilities, particularly autism
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote skill development
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients, focusing on behavior management and skill acquisition
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistent implementation of treatment plans
- Monitor progress and make data-driven decisions to modify treatment strategies as needed
- Train and supervise behavior technicians or other staff members working with clients
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and treatment outcomes
Skills:
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs, particularly those with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Strong data collection and analysis skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt treatment strategies based on individual client needs and progress
- Familiarity with special education laws and regulations
