Job Title: Calibration Technician
Job Details: Full-time, Monday-Friday, in-person at Chatsworth, CA
Pay: $25-30/hour

Position Overview:

We seek experienced Calibration Technicians for various departments: Fume Hood/Safety Cabinets, RF, Electrical, and Hand Tool Calibration and Repair. You'll ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement instruments with attention to detail and effective communication. All calibration is to be performed in accordance with NIST traceable standards.

Fume Hood/ Safety Cabinets Calibration Technician

• Calibrate and test fume hoods and safety cabinets using anemometers, smoke generators, and pressure gauges. Perform maintenance/ repairs, including filter replacements and inspections.

RF Calibration Technician

• Calibrate RF and microwave equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers) up to 50GHz using signal analyzers, power meters, and vector network analyzers.

Electrical Calibration Technician

• Calibrate electronic instruments (Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Hipot Testers) using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and function generators for precision and performance.

Hand Tool Calibration and Repair Technician

• Calibrate and repair hand tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers) using calibration standards and precision tools. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Calibrate and test instruments across various departments.
• Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Identify and correct measurement errors.
• Prepare calibration reports and certificates.
• Report activities and challenges to management.
• Perform additional support duties as needed.

Requirements and Skills:

• 3-5 years of calibration experience with precision measurement equipment.
• Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training preferred.
• Experience with ISO 17025 standards preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Valid driver’s license and clean record required.
