The Pharmacy Technician Candidate at Professional Arts Pharmacy will provide crucial support to ensure the smooth operation of our pharmacy. This role involves assisting pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications to be picked-up, delivered, or shipped to patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding products, services, and pharmacy operations.
  • Handle customer transactions and address any issues or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Administrative Support:
  • Process and file prescription orders and refills, ensuring accuracy in patient information and medication details.
  • Support the pharmacist in managing workflow as needed.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all activities comply with pharmacy regulations, policies, and safety standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other staff to support pharmacy operations.
  • Provide assistance during peak hours and help address any operational issues promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medications and patient information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software a plus
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.

• Experience:
  • Previous experience in pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred but not required
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program
• Additional Requirements:
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
