POSITION SUMMARY:
- We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with 5+ years' experience managing network infrastructure technology in the energy industry. Experience in project management and an understanding of how projects are run. We are seeking professionals who can resolve problems in a complex and enterprise environment
- Carries out moderately complex information systems and/or information technology tasks within more than one discipline, such as PC support, server support, network support as well as telecommunications, and infrastructure administration, analysis, engineering, and design
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors and supports the information technology and systems infrastructures
- Conducts complex analysis including planning, designing, and evaluating a variety of information technology tools
- Manage, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the current network infrastructure including remote sites
- Serves as the backup to respond to user requests for system needs and upgrades or handles requests that are more complex
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems in an efficient manner with little to no supervision
- Implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters
- Administers, runs tests on, and maintains operating system and related software
- Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, per recoveries
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years of IT experience in Networking Enterprise Environments
- Advanced knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls
- Advanced knowledge of IPsec tunnels
- Advanced knowledge of network infrastructure
- Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
- Familiarity with ITIL concepts
