Title: Sr. Carrier Procurement Specialist
Location: Mishawaka, IN. (On-site)
Compensation: 50K-60K base salary + commissions (Will bridge commissions for up to 6mo. for highly qualified candidates)

What your day-to-day will look like:
• Source, negotiate and secure carriers to move available freight in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers to ensure all parties are informed of route changes, delays, freight concerns or other issues
• Act as a liaison between carriers and the sales team; ensure a high-quality freight movement process
• Understand market conditions, including route delays, seasonal cycles, etc., and utilize judgment and critical thinking skills in assigning carriers to loads
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointment times while considering all factors affecting timeframe, such as weather, traffic, miles, service rules, etc.
• Follow established procedures and protocols regarding HVS and HRC loads to ensure the integrity of the shipment and the COMPANY brand
• Update and maintain accurate information in the company’s operating systems
At a minimum, you’ll need :
• 2 years of Freight Brokerage experience in a procurement role
• An established book of carriers that you work with regularly.
It’d be great if you also have:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 4 years of experience in transportation or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
