SUMMARY
The Director / Associate Director, Commercial Operations will assist in providing the vision and strategic leadership of the company’s commercial operations team and is a leader directing the support aspects of field enablement. This individual will be accountable for executing strategy, improving operational efficiency and ensuring that the commercial team has the tools it needs to drive significant growth and profitability across the nation. The Director / Associate Director will partner with commercial and operational leadership to advance the multi-year Prometheus strategy of bringing the power of precision medicine to clinicians, patients and partners.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in clinical laboratory commercial operations leadership; including a track record of success in creating and supporting success sales teams who promote novel Laboratory Developed Tests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages supervisory personnel in the Commercial Operations department and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamental of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Very high skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
