Our Ideal Candidate
The IT System Administrator is responsible for fulfilling day-to-day employee IT requests which may include: workstation and laptop hardware and software support, connectivity issues, printing issues, employee onboarding and offboarding, phone system issues, assisting with core administration, assisting with various projects related to improving or implementing new services, as well as document resolution in our ticket system. They will also troubleshoot communication and network issues, while communicating services outages to staff. The IT System Administrator will assist with server administration.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide IT support for company server, network, email, ERP system (NetSuite Software), system devices, PCs, printers, audio visual equipment, and other products to meet team member needs
- Resolve all PC hardware and/or software, maintenance, and support issues for team members in both manufacturing and corporate environments, Windows and Mac
- Ensure all technological equipment is consistently maintained to support manufacturing processes
- Support manufacturing processes by resolving PC and printer related issues, hand scanners and other various technological components
- Provide on-call support during scheduled hours by prioritizing and responding to team member requests, ensuring minimal disruption of service to end-users and business
- Manage and track all Office 365 users and remote employee activity
- Maintain User accounts, Licenses, and Objects in Intune and Azure/Entra ID
- Build and Maintain SharePoint Sites along with granting and administering access
- Evaluate and offload outdated IT inventory
- Maintain phone system, camera system and alarm system
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Individual efficiency - Effectively managing time and resources so that individual work is completed efficiently
- Windows 11 and MacBook installations, usage, and troubleshooting
- Basic Active Directory knowledge
- General IT hardware knowledge
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID/Azure, and other Microsoft Cloud solutions
- IT Network and ERP knowledge
- Audio visual equipment knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Office 365, email, etc.)
- Knowledge of NetSuite software a plus, but not required
- Experience on maintaining manufacturing machines a plus
- Ability to work nonstandard hours and / or holidays as needed
- Familiarity with Teams Rooms systems and hardware
- Travel required
Education and Experience
- 2-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or another related field (4-year degree preferred)
- 5-7 years of experience working in an IT role (small company preferred)
- 5 years of experience working with PC hardware and software
- Help Desk: 4+ years (Preferred)
- Windows: 4+ years (Preferred)
- MacBook: 3+ year (Preferred)
- Network/Firewall: 4+ years (Preferred, but not required)
- Experience with Exchange Online is a plus
