Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our internal legal team, providing support and counsel to our internal business units. Responsibilities include drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts, and engaging with business units on regulatory and legal issues, specifically related to product development. The position will report to the General Counsel of the Company.  

Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts on behalf of the business. 

• Legal research and advisement on a variety of practice areas relevant to the insurance industry and business in general. 

• Development and review of regulatory policies and compliance procedures. 

• Legal research and reporting. 

• Performs other related duties as assigned 

Required Skills/Abilities:  

• An understanding of insurance coverage related to personal lines business. 

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. 

• Proven ability to independently manage workload and set and meet deadlines. 

• Excellent time management skills and organizational skills. 

• Attentiveness to detail. 

Required Education and Experience: 

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school. 

• Member of the state bar from the state of residence. 

• 5 or more years of experience at a civil law firm or in-house legal department. 

Physical Requirements:  

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
