This Quality (Systems) Engineer will play a vital role supporting the QMS, driving continuous improvements and ensuring compliance across a company that truly values quality. This position emphasizes addressing production issues and non-conformances, initiating enhancements, conducting root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions, and fostering continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Executes tasks related to NCMRs, CARs, SCARs, and Customer Complaints, collaborating with other departments. Drives root cause analysis to ensure lasting solutions.
• Carries out ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 compliance activities, including internal and external audits and Quality/ISO training.
• Maintains and improves Quality documentation.
• Acts as the administrator for the Material Review Board (MRB).
• Serves as a key contact during external third-party audits.
• Conducts internal audits and works across functions to address findings through corrective actions.
• Measures, monitors, tracks, and reports Quality System metrics to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the systems; implements updates or changes as needed to meet evolving business needs.
• Contributes to the enhancement of manufacturing processes to reduce nonconforming products.
• Reviews and approves ISO 17025 calibration certificates.
• Completes Customer Quality Questionnaires.
• Oversees the operation and maintenance of the Quality Management Systems.
• Manages detailed and organized records of nonconformances, root causes, and dispositions.
• Establishes specific testing and inspection procedures based on detailed drawings and technical specifications.
• Provides guidance and training to others on Quality processes and procedures.
Educational and Experience Qualifications:
• 3-5+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer with systems responsibilities.
• Experience in issuing CAPAs and SCARs.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering field (e.g., electrical, mechanical).
• Experience with Quality systems auditing (ISO standards).
• Manufacturing experience, including but not limited to welding, machined parts, sensors, and testing, is a plus.
