Job Description

CEC Controls is recruiting for an entry-level process control engineer to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of instrumentation and controls, with some experience in SCADA systems and PLC programming. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment, working on projects in Water/Wastewater and Power Plant systems.

Responsibilities

• Technology and Programming
  • Assist in the development and implementation of SCADA systems and PLC programming under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support basic configuration and troubleshooting of SCADA software and PLCs.
  • Gain hands-on experience with platforms like VTSCADA, Wonderware, iFix, WinCC, FactoryTalk View, and GE Cimplicity
• Design and Engineering
  • Contribute to the review and interpretation of specifications, control drawings, and HMI screens.
  •  Participate in the design and testing of control systems to meet project specifications
  •  Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met

• Learning and Development
  • Engage in ongoing leaning to build expertise in industry standards such as ISA and UL 508A
  • Attend training sessions and seek mentorship to enhance your technical skills in instrumentation and controls

Requirements

• Education and Experience
  • Achieved or working toward BS in Electrical Engineering, Technology, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or equivalent expertise and experience
  • 0+ years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls required
• Physical and Legal Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship.
  • Able to climb a 2-story ladder
  • Can walk a mile in 20 minutes
  • Able to lift 30 lbs. while carrying a laptop
