We’re looking for a Footwear Product Engineer who is passionate about athletic footwear that meets the highest performance and sustainable manufacturing standards. A successful candidate will be able to perform in a fast-paced matrixed organization within the product creation team. The ideal candidate is an engineer motivated to continually grow and learn with an innovative mindset. We are looking for a strong team player who is a proficient multi-tasker who can work on multiple products simultaneously.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:
As a Footwear Product Engineer, you will be located at ***’s World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. You will be a key member of the Product Creation team responsible to understand the product to deliver to the athletes and business needs. You will focus on projects to meet performance, cost, and sustainable targets. You will lead the project management of key footwear initiatives within product creation and manufacturing teams. Using critical thinking, analytical, innovative, and communication skills you will focus on problem-solving from the development through the commercialization stages. You will apply and promote *** Engineering best practices. You will provide critical feedback on projects to ensure product quality, consistency, and manufacturability at scale.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will work in close collaboration with *** headquarters product developers, manufacturing teams, external vendors, and Asia-based footwear product creation centers and factories to test and validate concepts. You will need strong communication and program management skills to share project details and status with all stakeholders.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Engineering or technical degree in a related field or minimum of 2 years of direct experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Consumer Product and/or hard goods manufacturing experience.
• Understanding and skills in pattern engineering, tooling, manufacturing, and test methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches, and/or 3D digital files.
• Proficient with MS Office, 2D/3D CAD/CAM
• Capable of working hands-on with manufacturing machines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel internationally as needed up to 10%.
