A successful candidate will have experience in electronic layout, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintaining test equipment for both developmental and production electronic systems. This includes parts, test equipment, and systems, such as computer equipment, network test instrumentation, and applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, and electronic and electrical testing. The candidate executes electronic assembly procedures and works with design and test engineers to clarify design details and functional and test criteria. The candidate must have excellent communication and troubleshooting techniques, which are essential. Assure that product validation tests are planned and performed for customers and/or engineering test requirements on calibrated test equipment.
Qualifications:
· Minimum two-year College or trade school degree or equivalent experience
· Experience reading and interpreting engineering specifications and drawings
· Ability to understand and maintain lab test electronic equipment and circuits
· Includes preparing, programming, and collecting data for product validation tests using environmental chamber and vibration test equipment data collection and data loggers
· Experience using basic assembly skills to build and repair complex circuit card assemblies
· Perform requested product validation testing to test plan requirements
Develop and build fixtures for specialized testing.
Collect test data
Follow equipment calibration and maintenance schedules and procedures.
Communicate testing issues in a timely manner.
Catalog test plans for secure, easy access.
Catalog test reports for easy access and official records
Clean and maintain lab and equipment
Other tasks as assigned by Engineering
· Experience with using MS Office software - Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook
· Must be a U.S. Citizen
· U.S. DoD clearance a plus
