Job Duties:

• Collaborate with the sales department on the design of custom railing, staircases, etc.
• Work proactively to identify site conflicts with given dimensions
• Visualize design and create drawings in accordance with building codes, industry and company standards
• Create material lists and purchase orders for all hardware and material for projects
• Must have excellent problem solving skills and conflict resolution
• Produce drawings for fabrication shop
• Manage workflows using in-house production system and Microsoft 365
• Organize and manage file on computer
• Compose emails

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree or equivalent years of work experience in a designing/drafting role.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD required. 3D modeling software experience a plus.
• Minimum of three years' experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
• Proven designing experience required.
• Ability to successfully collaborate with engineers, sales, vendors, and customers required.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
• Knowledge of hardware, materials and fabrication procedures
• Knowledge of installation procedures
• Ability to keep up with the work for shop flow
• Experience with misc. metals--gates, railing, and handrails
• Proven attention to detail with an emphasis on drawing specifications required.
• Proven track record of being self-motivated, working with minimal supervision, and partnering with diverse team members required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently, retain a sense of urgency and meet strict timelines required.
• Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
• Good, clear oral and written English communication.
• Regular work attendance is required.
• Must be able to work a full 40 hours per week. Overtime may be occasionally required.
• Work on site. This is not a remote position.
