Controls Engineer Wanted for Growing Machine Builder in Holland, MI

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer for a permanent opening. This position involves designing and programming electrical systems for new automation machines, integrating robotics and vision systems, and troubleshooting control systems. Very minimal travel, mostly short trips during the week.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate and program electrical systems for new automation machines.
- Utilize SCADA for data communication between machines.
- Design and program Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
- Troubleshoot and modify control systems to resolve issues.
- Retrofit existing systems and integrate new control systems.
- Incorporate robotics and vision systems into automation solutions.
- Commission new machines and perform occasional service work.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLC programming, including MicroLogix and RSLogix 5000, as well as Factory Talk and HMI.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and SCADA systems.
- Experience with Data Control Systems; Siemens experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) preferred, or relevant experience.
- Robotics experience and hands-on mechanical aptitude are advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 5-10% as needed.
