This position is for a certified Nurse Practitioner or a licensed Physician Assistant. It is a provider position. It is not for a nursing, medical assistant or any other medical office employee. Full time may be available.

We are currently seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. We are not looking for medical assistants or technicians at this time.

Responsibilities:

• Perform medical procedures as necessary. Procedures we perform include laceration repair and abcess drainage
• Prescribe medications and treatments
• Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations
• Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
• Maintain patient medical records
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner in an emergency department or urgent care center. One year minimum.
• Advanced knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong leadership qualities
