Busy Orthopaedic Medical Office seeks friendly, personable, goal-oriented, self-motivated professional, licensed Athletic Trainer for high volume practice.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to successfully multi-task and communicates effectively w/ Physicians, co-workers, and patients.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited program for Athletic Trainers.
Current Texas, LAT/ BOC Certification. (Personal trainers NOT applicable)
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills, critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
Duties will include, but are not limited to: aiding in the assessment and prevention of athletic injuries and serving as a liaison between the patient, the medical doctors, support staff, and the medical assistants, customer service, answering phones, scheduling appointments, some data entry, along with various other clerical duties as directed.
The position is to work in a rehab clinic. It is not a physician’s extender position.
Proficiency preferred in: Word, Excel, Outlook and Centricity (medical software).
