DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- May approve, dismiss/early close or withdraw prior authorizations of medication according to guidelines as defined by the client.
- Answers incoming calls on a daily basis and in a timely manner. Assists callers with questions regarding approval or denial of medications. Research issues and resolves the issue. Document caller’s questions, issues, and resolution.
- Data enters information into the PA database. Corrects errors, if needed.
- Process requests for information (RFIs) for client accounts.
- Performs monitoring tasks of the PAL/Client database. Notifies management of errors and/or problems.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Other job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Current or recent licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience required.
- Excellent communication skills including active listening.
- Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
