Description: 

SnapCare seeks a dedicated and skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in acute care to join our healthcare team. As an L&D RN, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our patients in a post-acute care setting.

Qualifications: 

• CA Registered Nurse License
• BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, NRP Certification
• 1+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery

Responsibilities: 

• Patient Assessment and Monitoring: Continuously assess and monitor the vital signs, labor progress, and overall condition of patients in labor.
• Labor Support: Provide emotional and physical support to patients during labor, including assistance with breathing techniques, pain management, and positioning.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications, including pain relief options such as epidurals, as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Fetal Monitoring: Utilize electronic fetal monitoring to track the baby's heart rate and other vital signs, ensuring the well-being of both mother and baby.
• Education and Guidance: Educate patients and their families about the labor and delivery process, pain management options, and postpartum care.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Emergency Response: Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies, such as fetal distress, hemorrhage, and preeclampsia, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
• Documentation:Accurately document patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in the electronic medical record.
• Patient Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and that they receive high-quality, compassionate care throughout their labor and delivery experience.
