Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced RN Manager for Pediatric Program, an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse, for a large Pediatric Home Care Program in Brooklyn, NY. Position is based in-office in Brooklyn. Qualified candidates will be experienced and knowledgeable in overseeing the Pediatric Clinical Team. Manager or Supervisor level in Acute Pediatric Care, PICU, Hospital Pediatric experience or Peds CHHA RN Home Care experience preferred.
The RN Manager for Pediatric Program will provide leadership, develop quality assurance programs, and ensure the Program is meeting regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will also provide guidance and support to the nursing staff to ensure a high level of patient care.
- Oversee and evaluate home health pediatric nursing staff, updating current policies/forms and directing quality patient care.
- Supervise and manage the nursing staff and provide support and guidance as needed
- RN Manager may need to go in the field periodically for joint visit with RNs
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure the program is meeting all regulatory standards
- Monitor and evaluate performance of the nursing team and provide feedback as needed
- Oversee the recruitment and hiring of nursing team
- Establish goals, objectives, and standards of performance
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to nursing care
- Monitor and update schedules to ensure adequate coverage
- Ensure the staff is adequately trained and provide ongoing education opportunities
- Handle patient complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Job Requirements
- Must have a minimum 3 years of Pediatrics experience, Previous Home health experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- RN Supervisory, RN Preceptor, RN Team Lead or Charge RN experience required
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
