We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee our Medical Billing department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multi-specialty practice or physician group settings, with comprehensive knowledge of both front-end and back-end revenue cycle processes.

Position Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Medical Billing department, ensuring smooth operations, meeting revenue targets, and managing team members to achieve individual goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations, including workload management, staffing, hiring, performance appraisals, and training
• Ensure documentation aligns with billing policies and is up-to-date
• Manage overall revenue, including prompt filing, maximizing billing revenue and collections, and resolving denied/rejected claims
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on unpaid claims
• Provide technical expertise on coding, risk adjustment, billing practices, and regulatory changes
• Conduct regular audits of billing reports and work with Medical Billing Coordinator to address issues
• Monitor A/R aging and payment reports to identify trends and underpayments
• Supply monthly revenue cycle status updates, including reports and metrics
• Train on-site staff on billing and revenue cycle-related tasks and SOPs
• Oversee proper risk adjustment coding throughout the enterprise
• Partner with providers to inform them of coding conventions and provide feedback on individual practices

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of medical insurance/healthcare billing and collections experience in a medical practice or health system
• Two years of supervisory or management experience
• Experience with HCC risk adjustment models
• Experience in large outpatient physician practice or ACO preferred
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and HCC
• Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) and/or Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
