Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CPA to join our management team. This is a growth opportunity, offering the chance to lead, oversee, and manage client engagements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams, managing complex client needs, and establishing long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and management for a variety of tax engagements, including individual, corporate, and state & local taxes.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate tax professionals, ensuring their professional growth and development.
- Lead client engagements, serving as the primary contact, and maintaining strong relationships.
- Effectively establish workload priorities, organizing and planning job schedules, while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Review federal, state, and local tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Manage federal and state tax audits for both individuals and corporations.
- Research and provide guidance on complex tax issues for high-net-worth clients and corporate entities.
- Identify and secure new client relationships, building a strong network of professional contacts within the industry.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of recent tax experience in a public accounting firm is REQUIRED.
- CPA certification required for Senior Level Roles and Above (Specialist roles do not require CPA).
- Strong team management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and coach teams of people.
- Demonstrated ability as a role model for staff and professionals, with a solid professional and technical reputation.
- Experience in one or more specialized areas or industries (e.g., real estate, manufacturing, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred; Master’s degree in Taxation preferred
