Our client is looking for a HemOnc NP with previous experience as a HemOnc RN or HemOnc NP. This is a newly created role as they are looking to expand their team.
Hematology Oncology Nurse Practitioner Job Description
-One hematology clinic session per week, seeing common hematology conditions (i.e. anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, coagulation disorders)
-One oncology clinic session per week managing cancer survivorship clinic, (i.e. patients who have completed their active cancer treatment and require routine surveillance follow-up to monitor for recurrence and complications of cancer treatment)
-Oversee the outpatient infusion center, manage common chemotherapy-related toxicities, and infusion reactions, and write chemotherapy orders
-Call patients with lab results and follow up to assess for any post-treatment symptoms or complication
-Inpatient consultation for common hematology/oncology issues supervised by attending hematologist-oncologist
SCHEDULE:
Full - Time (Regular 37.5 hrs)
Days: Mon – Fri Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm
