Sensory Speech & OT Therapy LLC is currently seeking a qualified **Speech Language Pathologist** to provide direct therapy to children and adults affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The role involves identifying, assessing, and providing treatment for children with communication and speech delays, as well as sensory processing difficulties. It also includes collaborating with behavior therapy teams, providing training to clinical staff, and working with outside Speech Language Pathologists as needed. Additional responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized Plans of Care, attending meetings, and ensuring the quality of therapy programs.
Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, a Speech Language Pathology License, and full-time availability. The preferred candidate will have at least one year of Speech Language Pathology experience and experience working with clients with ASD.
Responsibilities include attending meetings with the QSP Coordinators and/or Chief Executive Officer on a monthly basis. The Speech Language Pathologist will develop and implement individualized Plans of Care, utilizing methods demonstrated to be evidence-based, for clients as assigned, report on a regular basis the progress of each client in the caseload, and assist in the development of the Individual Treatment Plan and any Prior Authorization information to procure funding for the client's Speech Language Pathology program.

- Physical requirements:
- Ability to respond quickly-get up from floor/run/walk fast (for elopements)
- Physically engaged for 7+ hours (fast paced/on the go)
- Strength required to implement physical holds when safety of the client or staff is at risk
- Shuffling your feet (related to safety care)
- Standing/be on your feet for several consecutive hours many days
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
Preferred qualifications:
- One or more year(s) Speech Language Pathology experience
- Prior experience working with clients with ASD
- Prior experience collaborating with Occupational Therapist and / or ABA Therapists
Essential responsibilities:
- Responsible for the establishment and ongoing review, analysis, and evaluation of treatment programs, plans of care, goals, and discharge plans for assigned clients as related to **speech-language pathology** needs in consultation with the Program Supervisor.
- Makes revisions to plans and goals based on individual needs of clients in consultation with the Clinical Supervisor.
- Administers and interprets standardized assessments to evaluate **communication, language, and speech** delays.
- Assists in integrating **speech-language pathology** targets or activities into behavior therapy settings in consultation with the clinical team. This includes clients on direct caseload as well as indirect clients as needed.
- Conducts 30-day and 90-day reviews for all clients. The 90-day review must include an updated Plan of Care.
- Completes and submits required documentation within established guidelines.
- Establishes and maintains current and accurate clinical records.
- Participates in ITP planning as applicable.
- Provides leadership supervision and/or executes all skilled treatment programs (e.g., **speech therapy activities**) as prescribed by the Plan of Care.
- Schedules clients in coordination with the clinical team.
- Provides client/family education related to support services as appropriate.
- Meets with the clinical team as needed to discuss each client's progress on **communication, language, and speech** programming.
- Completes necessary continuing education.
- Attends all necessary trainings and/or meetings at the central office site.
- Considers ethical and cultural issues and maintains appropriate boundaries when interacting with clients, client caregivers, colleagues, and student interns.
- Restricts work to personal domain of expertise and uses the most updated methods as recognized by the profession.
Other responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and training on therapy strategies to Behavior Therapists, Lead Therapists, Clinical Supervisor, and Program Manager and trains as needed.
- Responds to referrals for service in a timely manner.
- Responds to emails and phone calls within 24 hours.
- Appropriately utilize the time-reporting system for reimbursement.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
