Genesis is seeking a Structural Designer with Revit experience for a contract to direct opportunity in Greenville, SC.
This position can be hybrid. *Ziprecruiter makes us put a rate of pay on each posting- these rates are not necessarily the rates offered. Rates depend on experience
This person will design structures that must endure stresses and pressures inflicted through human use and environmental conditions. The incumbent will design/configure structures, oversee drawing production, choose appropriate foundation, building and equipment support material, inspect the construction work and ensure the structural soundness of foundations, buildings and structures.
- Liaise with clients and professional staff such as architects and engineers.
- Design and develop structural plans, drawings, and specifications for various packaging projects.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from clients and engineers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and equipment.
- Inspect geotechnical properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations.
- Use computer aided design technology for simulation purposes.
Ideal Background
- Two-year degree in Design/Drafting or 3+ years of drafting experience.
- Experience with Revit.
- Multi-tasker who can work multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience in industrial structural design
- Experience in STAAD, AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with steel, concrete and masonry
- Experience in heavy to light industrial projects
