We are looking for a skilled Mastercam Programmer with a minimum of 10 years of programming experience. For production we utilize Proshop to track work orders.

SHIFT: 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM (45 min lunch)

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Full working knowledge of machining techniques and tools. Specific knowledge of materials, cutting tools, workholding, chip control, process definition
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM software, specifically Mastercam
• CNC Programming and Milling skills, 10 yrs experience minimum
• Complete understanding of set up processes
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Role Description

1. Create and edit CNC programs using Mastercam software
2. Test programs, revise programs to eliminate errors, and retest programs to check that problems have been solved
3. Conduct product development to improve programs and optimize cycle times
4. Observe machines on trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs and machinery will function properly and prevent crashes
5. Assist in ensuring that operators are running programs properly
6. Assist team with executing and analyzing prototypes and tooling
7. Ability to successfully perform all tasks as that of a Setup Machinist and Operator
8. Communicate with co-workers from shift to shift and during production meetings, utilize shift tie-ins
9. Utilize software to asses machine cycle times and down times to better assess weaknesses and where machines are sitting over running
10. Maintain quality service and safe operations by adhering to company systems, policies and procedures                                                  11. TEAM PLAYER. Must work well with others.
