Medical Scribe
Job Summary

1. Scribe medical reports in real time, as dictated by physicians  during patient visit.
2. Inputs subjective based on reason for visit and patient account, uses appropriate macros to document physical exam, objective and plan as ordered by the physician
3. Notifies Physician when note is ready for review.
4. Reviews and edits reports for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology.
5. Distinguishes between homonyms and recognizes inconsistencies and mistakes in medical terms.
6. Produces correspondence, records, patient-care information, and other administrative material.
7. Inputs patient history and medical information for new patients prior to initial appointment.
8. Performs a variety of clerical and office tasks.
9. Receives and screens telephone calls and visitors.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Minimum Experience: 2 Years
Minimum Field of Expertise: Medical terminology knowledge and scribing experience. High level scribing skills. Some medical secretarial and administrative experience.
Preferred Field of Expertise: Medical transcription with combined medical secretarial and administrative experience.
