
We are seeking a capable and motivated Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is currently structured for 25–30 hours per week, with the potential to transition to a full-time position in the future.
Our firm handles a range of legal matters including criminal defense, civil litigation, and probate. We are committed to providing high-quality legal services with professionalism, integrity, and compassion. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
Drafting and formatting legal documents and correspondence
Managing case files and maintaining accurate records
Filing documents with courts and administrative agencies
Scheduling and calendar management
Communicating with clients, courts, and other professionals
Assisting with trial preparation and discovery
Performing legal research as needed
Preferred qualifications:
Prior experience in a law firm or legal office setting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and basic legal tech tools
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
