We are looking for a talent at our alterations shop. Must know how to do following:
. Hemming pants, skirts, and dresses
• Shortening/lengthening sleeves
• Taking in or letting out waistlines
• Tapering pants or sleeves
• Adjusting shoulders on jackets or dresses
• Resizing garments (up or down)
• Zipper replacement or repair
• Button replacement or reinforcement
• Patching or repairing holes/tears
• Lining replacement (coats, jackets, skirts)
• Formal wear alterations (suits, gowns, etc.)
• Bridal and bridesmaid dress alterations
Garment reconstruction or restyling
• Sewing on patches (uniforms, scouts, etc.)
• Adding darts or pleats for better fit
• Curtain and drapery alterations
• Leather and suede alterations

About INARA'S ALETRATIONS
We are a locally grown alterations shop of 20+ years. Inara had a vision of turning her love for sewing into an alterations shop. It all started in Black Mountain and now we are in downtown Asheville. After 20 years, Inara retired, and her niece Tatyana took over the business to continue what her aunt started. We provide variety of services from sewing buttons on to complex garment repairs. In addition to clothing repairs, we provide other types of alterations and custom sewing: masks, pillows, blankets, draperies, just to list few. We also have a shoe repair master on staff, who provides excellent work with shoes and other items such as purses, belts, luggage, and other custom requests.
