About the role:

Expedition Co is looking for a Senior Engineer who loves to sling code and launch products. You should be comfortable working anywhere on the stack, know how to write clean, extensible code, and be able to translate designs and requirements into manageable and coherent software.

In this role, you'll engage primarily with React or React Native for UI development and some form of NodeJs-based backend. However, we remain open to and flexible with other backend technologies as project needs evolve. This position offers a dynamic environment where you'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to create impactful digital experiences. We value innovation and ensure that we strive to stay at the forefront of technological advancements. Whether that means learning something brand new or refining existing techniques, we’ll do what’s required to meet our clients' varied needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in software development
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles
• Experience with system design from early stages through implementation
• Ability to lead projects from concept to completion
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong understanding of JavaScript
• Proficient in database management and optimization, with experience in SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• Preferred Technical Experience:
• Proficiency in TypeScript
• Strong NodeJs understanding
• Experience with mobile application development and React or React Native
• Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: C++, Go, Java, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Firebase
• Experience with unit testing

Nice to Haves:

• Solid grasp of networking principles, particularly as they apply to web technologies.
• Knowledge of security best practices and awareness of common security pitfalls.

Salary:
The salary range for this role is $125k - $150k annually.
